James Insurance Agency was started in July, 1993 by Michael James with the help of his father, George James. George, who was a Prudential agent at the time, had owned the building and operated it as a Prudential Insurance office since 1986. He retired from Prudential in 2001 and joined Michael as a partner at James Insurance until retiring from the insurance business in 2008.
